Synopsis |
|
Jojo
is struggling with the changing physiology of puberty and the
challenges of teenage life. After a bad day at school he is saddled
with a tough punishment assignment. The research material and an
innovative introspection device help turn Jojo’s Consciousness and
Curiosity inward on a journey within his brain. Here they meet
amazing brain structures, hormones and neurotransmitters as
characters with their individual idiosyncrasies and learn about
their interaction and teamwork. They see the close relationship
between physiology, emotions and decision making processes. They
party with the neurons, experience the seductive evil of alcohol and
understand the phenomenon of inhibition. Recovering from a hangover,
they battle and strike a compromise with Fear; they decimate the
Critical Pig and incidentally release Creativity. Their quest
continues as a hunt for Courage, for which they have to seek out
Wisdom (the Guru). They emerge from the adventure armed with the
secret of Courage and a new found level of comfort and confidence.

Praise/Reviews |

An exciting exploration of the amazing world inside our
heads. The characters play out the relationships of brain
structures, hormones and molecules in such an entertaining way that
we can learn without even suspecting that a large body of research
lies behind this adventure. This is how Science becomes useful in
everyday life
